The tournament will feature ten teams battling it out for the championship, with a total of 74 matches expected to be played.
IPL 2024 Schedule
The IPL 2024 schedule has not been officially announced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) yet. However, it is expected to be similar to the previous seasons, with each team playing seven matches at home and seven away. The opening match and the final match are yet to be decided.

Last season, the throphy was claim by non other than MS Dhoni of Chennai Super Kings. They secured their 5th title by defeating Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Statium in Ahmedabad. With this win, Dhoni and CSK equaled the record set by Rohit Sharma and Mumbai Indians (MI) for the most IPL titles in the history of the tournament.
IPL 2024 Venue
The IPL 2024 will be played in ten or more cities across India. Each team will play seven matches at their home ground and seven matches in the opponent’s home ground. The venues for the matches are yet to be announced.

IPL 2024 Rules
- Each team will be given 2.5 minute strategic time out during the innings
- If the bowling team is unable to complete the bowling in time, they may place only 4 fielders outside of the field.
- Teams can use the substitute before the start of the innings
- Teams can declare their 11 players before or after the toss to the referee
- Maximum 4 players will be included in the Team of 11 players.
- There can be 15 players in the squad with maximum 8 players.
